Random.

Earlier this afternoon, I finished my mandatory service hours for the Spanish Honor Society (also known as La Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, forgive my lack of accent marks), and I merely have one hour left for my mandatory service time for the National Honor Society! YAYZ.

Yesterday, I also went to get fitted for my prom dress (it finally came in to the store!), and I didn't need any alterations! SQUEE. I'm actually a size 8 (I thought I would be a size 10, but hey).

I also don't really have a lot of homework tonight, so I can spend most of my time reading Stephen King's Cell! JOY.

I also got a scholarship offer in the mail today from a college that I don't plan on attending! IRONIC SCREE.

And since this is a random post, I'm going to photo-dump some pictures that I took of my stuff when my shelves collapsed (one night during dinner, haha, we heard the crash from the dining room down the hall) due to the weight. I basically just threw all my stuff on my bedroom floor in groups and took pictures; there's really no reason behind it.

It was mostly wee-a-boo stuff, too. My brother said that I was receiving a subliminal message.

The only blurry one. Two empty pocky boxes that I saved, an also-saved-but-empty strawberry Ramune Juice bottle, a little Japanese woman-figure that I bought from the store, and an abandoned toy Japanese flag that I found in a gutter somewhere. I'm not even lying. I don't even consider it odd that I picked said flag up and took it with me.

This fan and the two paper dolls actually came from Japan. My grandmother's friend's daughter ( >:D ) traveled to Japan, and I got to reap the souvenir benefits.

HARRY POTTER. Arranged in a 7-6-5-4-1-2-3 order. :DV

My DVDs. :D I have four volumes of the anime Spiral ~Suiri no Kizuna~, one volume of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ratatouille (my favorite cartoon movie!), and Dead Poets' Society (my favorite dramatic school-boy movie, and I'm normally extremely aggravated by Robin Williams' mere presence!).

A dish of candy with a pair of stupid headphones, a green bouncy ball, and all of my colorful "first-generation iPod nano" cases. Notice my awesome devil case. :3

All of my video-cassettes back from when I obsessively taped my favorites animes off of Toonami and AdultSwim. I have the entire Yu Yu Hakusho series and most of the Inuyasha series (up until I got bored with it; I lasted a pretty long time).

All of my shoujo manga: Fruits Basket, Loveless, Ouran High School Host Club, Marmalade Boy, and Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances).

...And my shounen manga: Hikaru no Go, Case Closed (Meitantei Conan), Gensomaden Saiyuki, Saiyuki Reload, and Naruto. I SWEAR I LIKED NARUTO BEFORE ALL THE POSERS STARTED WEARING THE ORANGE JACKETS. SRSLY. You can also tell that I'm a big Saiyuki fan. :3

MY BELOVED JPOP CDS, SOON TO BE ADDED TO BY MY KITTY GYM. Shut up, I know I only have three, my parents just started letting me order off of the Internet. Super Junior's Second Album (with the Marilyn Manson-esque (according to my brother) opening track 'Don't Don'), NewS' 'weeeek', and Hey! Say! JUMP's 'Ultra Music Power'. Soon, I will have a fourth that says Kitty GYM 'Fever to Future', AND I CHECK EVERY DAY FOR IT IN THE MAIL EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT TO BE SHIPPED UNTIL MARCH 3RD.

So, yeah. My treasures. SOON TO BE ADDED TO BY KITTY GYM'S 'FEVER TO FUTURE' (which was released in 2006, but I tend to find gems later than most).

OH MAN, ALL OF MY SENIOR 2008 PARAPHENALIA GOT DROPPED OFF BY THE UPS MAN TODAY, AND MY MOM JUST YELLED BACK TO TELL ME. I MUST GO RAVAGE IT.

Sometimes I get impulses.

For instance, I just now finished speaking with a student at my future college (University of Maryland, Baltimore County; UMBC for short), and what she had to say really helped me and made me feel better about the whole "higher education" deal; I had an extremely enjoyable time talking to her (save for my stupid brother screaming his lungs out for some inexplicable reason in the living room while I was on the phone). Thus, when I got off the phone, I was happy and hyper, and so I did the first thing that came to mind.

I freakin' ordered Kitty GYM's 'Fever to Future' off of YesAsia without a second thought. I almost even put it on the fastest method of shipping, but I restrained myself because I'm stingy with money.

When my Kitty GYM arrives in the mail sometime next week (or the week after...), I'm probably just going to stare at it for a second and try to remember when I summoned it here.

That, or I'll remember my summons and furiously rip it out of its packaging while squealing rabidly.

It'll probably be the latter, actually.

For some reason, I've only ever ordered stuff by male artists, such as Super Junior and random groups from Johnny's Entertainment. I've, surprisingly, never ordered anything Hello!Project-related (though that could all end soon now that I've discovered Mini Moni's 'Crazy About You'). 0_0 I was thinking the other day, however, of ordering me some AKB48 stuff, either 'Keibetsu Shiteita Aijou' or 'BINGO!'.

Haha, speaking of Hello!Project and AKB48 (and Johnny's Entertainment), I've found that a few members of AKB48 possess a striking resemblance to other female JPop singers. Look, look!

First, AKB48 Team A's Maeda Atsuko (Acchan):

...and Morning Musume's Kamei Eri (Kame):

Second, AKB48 Team K's Ono Erena (Erepyon):

...and ex-Morning Musume/ex-W's Tsuji Nozomi (Nono):

Third, AKB48 Team A's Tojima Hana (Hana?):

...and KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya (Kame, too!):

Yeah, I'm aware that I have no life; I can't help it. Mostly.

Oh! One last thing before I shut up!

Is this girl not the most adorable little thing (haha, she's only a year younger than me, though!)? I kinda want to trade my brother for her. It's kinda odd, though, that she's one of the three to commit suicide in the 'Keibetsu Shiteita Aijou' PV; she's the very first person in the PV (her back's facing the camera), and she's the closest one in the first view of the dance shot as well. She's ~KaWAIiiIIIiiIIi!!11!1~, but still hardcore.

She's obviously one of my current favorites among AKB48, along with Erepyon and Minegishi Minami (Miichan).

I'm a cool kid now!

I got me some Hello!Project rankings! :DV Thanks in entirety to Hello!Blog.

Haha, I bet the curiosity is running rampant. :3 So without further ado...

Morning Musume:

1. Niigaki Risa 2. Michishige Sayumi 3. Mitsui Aika 4. Kamei Eri 5. Li Chun ( JunJun) 6. Qian Lin (LinLin) 7. Kusumi Koharu 8. Tanaka Reina 9. Takahashi Ai
It wasn't too hard to pick my Momusu favorites; I have the few that I adore (Niigaki, Michishige, Mitsui, Kamei), the two Pandas in the middle (JunJun, LinLin), and the few that I really dislike (Kusumi, Tanaka, Takahashi). Obviously, I rate the under-appreciated highest, the mediocre ones in the middle, and the front girls dead last. So, yeah. I pretty much knew how my ranking would turn out before I even did this.

Berryz Koubou:

1. Kumai Yurina 2. Tsugunaga Momoko 3. Shimizu Saki 4. Tokunaga Chinami 5. Sugaya Risako 6. Natsuyaki Miyabi 7. Sudou Maasa
Oh my freakin' lord, this was so hard. I love all these girls so much, and so it was really hard to put them in any order. So, I basically just threw them together by who I would like to be friends with. :D

C-ute:

1. Yajima Maimi 2. Arihara Kanna 3. Suzuki Airi 4. Nakajima Saki 5. Okai Chisato 6. Umeda Erika 7. Hagiwara Mai
C-ute was quite the opposite of Berryz. The first and last places (Yajima and Hagiwara) were definite for me, and as for those in the middle (Arihara, Suzuki, Nakajima, Okai, Umeda), I just kinda threw them in a semi-random order. By semi-random, I mean that I ordered the middle girls by who I thought fit into the group the most.

Yay!

AKB48's 'Keibetsu Shiteita Aijou': Beautiful&Powerful.

4:27/8...

Edit a few months in the future: WUT.

I should be doing AP Human Geography homework...

...in fact, I have it on my lap right now, and the page with the assignment is minimized. :D

However, I suddenly got the urge to do a small review of the new Berryz Koubou PV 'Dschinghis Khan'. :3

It seems that Hello!Project fandom is outright torn between absolutely adoring and downright despising this song; I fit into the former category. I think this PV is Berryz at their finest. It's no 'Special Generation' or 'Jiriri Kiteru', but it seems a little like 'Waracchaou yo BOYFRIEND' to me in that it's playful and quirky.

Here 'tis:

Their voices seem a little high-pitched and nasally at first, but it's grown on me, and now it seems to fit the song. 0_0 Weird, I know, considering it was sung by a German group decades ago, and now it's being covered by a random teen Japanese girl-group.

The Berryz girls are looking really good here; no one looks fugly, which is an improvement from that new C-ute PV. All the girls in Berryz are quite pretty, actually. The yellow-and-green combo outfit even fits the PV now, to me, and I normally hate that color combination.

The PV itself may be low-budget (but which recent H!P PV isn't, really, 'Tokkaiko Junjou' aside), but I still really like it. The mini-wotas are funny, and Berryz looks like they're truly having a good time performing in front of said mini-wotas. The PV opens originally, too, with those repeated-shot scenes of Yurina, Risako, and Miyabi.

Chinami and Saki totally rule this PV, though, which makes me extremely happy. Saki was always a Berryz favorite, and Chinami, when she gets exposure, is really cool. It's nice to see the focus shifted away from Risako, Miyabi, Momoko, and Yurina, and we can see a bit more of Saki, Chinami, and Maasa. (Plus, Risako's voice grates on my nerves sometimes, and her having the last line kind of irked me. SAKI PLZ.)

That said, Momoko's solo line was SPECTACULAR. She had the pen-ultimate solo line, and she completely rocked it; her voice is normally so high, and she sounded fantastic here. You could tell she tried really hard, and she pulled it off. Momoko is simply awesome that way. >:D

...Chinami does so many "ghetto" moves during her hallway shots; it's so funny. :D

While I do really like C-ute (mostly because of Maimi, I would like to be her friend in real-life, we're only a year apart after all), and I discovered C-ute before I discovered Berryz Koubou, the Berryz will always have my allegience among the H!P Kids groups. For this single in particular, if they had been competing in Rock Band (haha, stupid Alyson, you shouldn't make references to your real life when discussing JPop), they would have received the "Most Gutsy" award. I don't think C-ute, or even Momusu, could've pulled this off, and Tsunku knew that.

Good game, Berryz. Don't listen to the haters, you're too good for them.

Momusu's 'Resonant Blue'...

Momusu's new single, 'Resonant Blue', is due out sometime in April, maybe the 16th? I saw the release date once or twice, but I didn't really remember it. D: I'm too lazy to look for it now.

Anyway, apparently, according to some source somewhere (which I also forgot), this new single is going to resemble 'Egao YES Nude'.

SCORE. :DV

I really liked 'Egao YES Nude'; it was the single that had just been released when I became a Momusu fan, and it was Aika's debut single.

Aika ranks right up there with Risa, Sayumi, and Eri in my books, so obviously this is awesome news.

That said, 'EYN' was extremely awesome and original music-wise. I don't even know what genre it would be classified under...R&B maybe? The outfits worn in the PV were cool (I like purple, what can I say?), but the stupid silver streamers really affected the entire PV in a negative manner. Those dumb streamers were basically the only problem with the PV. Risa and Yossie were even two of the lead singers, it was AMAZING.

And if you try to dance to it in the shower, you are putting yourself in great danger. I figured this out the hard way.

Now, Tsunku please hear my cries. GAKIKAME LEADS. GAKIKAME LEADS. GAKIKAME LEADS.

If I have to hear one more single with basically only Ai-Chan and Reina singing, I may have to abandon ship.

A little Aika and JunJun wouldn't hurt, either, just sayin'.

And because I am a compulsive video-embedder...'Egao YES Nude':

Edit: OH MY GOSH, LOOK WHAT I JUST FOUND.

ARASHI, HOW I LOVE THEE. THIS ENTIRE THING LOOKS LIKE A COMMERCIAL, AND IT MAKES ME DIE INSIDE.

BUT WHAT MAKES ME DIE EVEN MORE IS NINO'S YELLOW CAPE. OH MYLANTA. I KNEW NINO WAS THE COOL ONE.

Man, watching this PV viciously reminded me how much my hyper-obnoxious Korean friend, Nam, looks like Aiba. It's so...uncanny.

Hai thar.

Been pretty busy lately, uh, doing productive, uh, stuff, sure. I definitely HAVE NOT been alternately sleeping and watching all things AKB48. NUH-UH.

Anyway...

Just getting around to actually getting on the Internet today. It was the infamous String Day in school, where OrchDorks of all ages, from the little tyke that can still turn back and switch to band to yours truly, one of the six seniors (AKA the old and ~*AWE-INSPIRING*~ ones, thank you very much), gather together to have a community string orgy.

That is to say, we all play with one another.

It was truly joyful. I got to wear all black and have it be part of the dress code. When you wear all black in school, people tend to stereotype (not that that has really stopped me in the past because I find stereotypes stupid and pointless).

And because JMusic is a way of life, Perfume's 'Polyrhythm'. :3

Edit: An important note. Today I also video recorded myself lip-synching to Koharu's 'HAPPY!'. I honestly don't know where I find this time, considering I also did a beast-load of Calculus homework today, too.

I, um, might've worn pigtails for the spectacle.

And hugged a giant pink star mogu pillow.

And used a heart "Peep" as a prop, which I later ate at the end.

Remember, though, this is all speculation.

Really.

*______________*

I KNOW THIS SONG IS TITLED 'ELECTRO WORLD' FOR A REASON (HINT: IT'S ABOUT ELECTRONICS), BUT I STILL FEEL IT APPLIES ODDLY WELL TO KING'S/BACHMAN'S The Long Walk.

I honestly was looking for a song that fit this book (my all-time favorite, don't even get me started), and while Breaking Benjamin's 'Until the End' worked fantastically, this random JTechno song seems to mesh.

I SWEAR, THIS IS, LIKE, THE MOST RANDOM EVENT OF MY LIFE. NO RLY.

I'm so bored, someone help me.

So. I was absent from school on Monday, there were primary elections yesterday (so we didn't have school), and today was a snow (read: ice) day.

This means that I have taken to sleeping almost non-stop and reading manga during the time that I actually bother to be conscious. Now, I'm on the Internet, still bored, and so I decided to post random stuff. This is a hint that I'm going to embed several vids. and even post some pix from my hard-drive.

First! I found a marvelous instance of KangTeuk on YouTube awhile back, and I feel it needs to be shared.

Credit for video to everlastingfriends on YouTube.

The random insert music that is in the background occasionally makes me cringe, but this video gets the point across particularly well. DongHae rap also snuck its way in, which makes me haEppy. :3

Now, I said I would post a KangTeuk picspam, and I'm just now getting around to it. It's an abnormally small one, though, and there are no .gifs. D:

Hee. >:D

Now, a KiHae video that I re-discovered yesterday while I was on a KiHae spree and eating up everything I could find regarding the two on the Internet. Y'know, when I wasn't unconscious or reading manga.

Credit for video to ShiwonTurkie on YouTube.

An example ("example" used lightly, haha) of KiHae that I absolutely adore from that weird Attack on the Pin-Up Boys movie. That movie was so KiHae-friendly, that's the only reason I can think of that I watched it all the way through. >:D

This is actually the movie's trailer; the KiHae appears from :39-:42. Fine, I'll admit it, I really like DongHae's method of speaking here. I don't even know if that's what you call it in this case, but DongHae is just so awesome, for whatever reason, and KiBum's just kinda standing there.

Finally, that new C-ute PV (with subs). WTF?

It's so SHI~NY!!11!1, and I don't hate it (it's a lot like the relationship Koharu and I have right now), but it kinda grates on my nerves. There's so much Tsunku background voice, and, honestly, why is Nakajima Saki even allowed to sing? Her voice makes me cry inwardly. And Erika. Poor, poor Erika. She's too old (and horsey-looking, in my opinion) to be in C-ute. Maimi is too old as well, but I think she should be moved up to Morning Musume, personally.

Joyfully, though, Maimi now seems to be becoming the front-runner of C-ute and taking over Airi's position. Note: Maimi actually sings first, and Airi sings second here, and in 'Tokkaiko Junjou', Maimi did the speaking parts. :DV

On a completely different note, I don't think I could say "lalalalalalalala" as many times as they do here and not want to shoot someone in the face.

Okay, I'll stop now. I think I'll go eat a chocolate eclair.

I'm so glad to be part of the Internet.

I'll probably attend the 4Chan panel at Otakon this year because I'll finally be 18+. I need to express my love for the Internet while hoping I don't get raped because I'm female. >:D Girls don't go on the Internet, according to /b/.

Speaking of, yesterday I went on /y/ for the first time and became scarred for life. It was, to put it mildly, an enlightening experience.

Anyway, I was sick and stayed home from school today (missing 3 out of my 5 AP classes, haha), and I wasted my time by researching the Scientology protest held in London yesterday.

This post on LiveJournal pretty much sums it up from what I've seen.

I also stole a lovely macro from above post:

Obviously, the Internets are becoming an army that cannot be defeated, even by Tom Cruise.

Lastly, a video that I feel is very important to this research (be sure to listen to the music in the backgroud):

Scientology got RickRoll'd.

Edit: This is absurdly random, but I need to frickin' gain weight.

Or at least not have a pelvis that can stab anyone within a two-foot radius.

One of the best H!P performances EVAR.

Here!

It's DEF. DIVA's 'Suki Sugite Baka Mitai' performed at the Wonderful Hearts Winter '06 concert. It must've opened the concert or something because it really seems like an opening perf. to me (I, personally, have never seen the concert in its entirety...).

The song is mother-effin' kick-arse (I've been singing it the last few days around school periodically and at home almost constantly), and the way the groups are brought out in backwards chronological order is so cool. :3

First is C-ute in white&pink, newly-formed and not a real group yet.

Then is Berryz Koubou in white&orange. (I really like Yurina's hair when it shows the close-up on her face at :32-:33.)

Followed by W in white&purple.

Biyuuden in white&green. Rika, in the center, looks so pretty, why can't I look like that? D:

Last is Morning Musume in the white&blue.

Cool, yes? I had to go to Dailymotion, though, to find a version that didn't have only Spanish subtitles. When not in AP Spanish 5, I attempt to stay away from any and all Spanish possible.

I'm not supposed to like Koharu!

So why am I suddenly finding her absolutely adorable (even though she's only two years younger than me) when I used to adamantly abhor her very existence? She used to be the Morning Musume member that I felt deserved to be in the group the least ("Miracle Ace, my anus," I used to think), and now I am beginning to see her rightful place there. I think Takitty and Reina are beginning to fall below her, and she has risen to something like 7th place out of 9, which is pretty respectable for Koharu considering how I used to, y'know, hate her. A lot.

This is exactly what happened with Risako of Berryz Koubou! My first impressions are terrible indicators of my eventual favorites, apparently.

So, in honor of Koharu rising on my Momusu favorites roster (I can't believe this is happening...), I present the video that led her to this accomplishment (as if 'Chance!' wasn't enough, which was when I first thought, "Hey, she might be worth something after all..."):

Sometimes I think this is why I feel so much happier than all my peers; I listen to junk like this all the time and enjoy it.

I've even been yelling the 'Woah WO-AH!' from the end of this video in joy all afternoon. There may or may not be accompanying hand motions involved.

WHADDYA KNOW?

My new boyfriend has a wee-a-boo wiki page.

NO, WHAT, HE'S FAMOUS IN THAILAND, REALLY?

>:(

I thoroughly enjoy how, at 2 in the morning, my body wants to jump up and act hyper and learn all the different dances that have been piling up on my 'To Do' list, while, almost every afternoon after school, it wants to die and remain unconscious for three to four hours straight.

I'm so thrilled, in fact, that I might beat myself over the head repeatedly with a blunt object until I fall into said unconscious state on my bedroom floor.

EunMin love~!

'Member that SuJu preview clip I posted a while back? The one for EHB 12?

THAT EPISODE MADE ME REALIZE THE GLORY THAT IS EUNMIN.

Now, you see, normally, I'm a KyuMin fan, and I don't really pair EunHyuk/HyukJae with anyone in particular.

No, I don't pair him with DongHae like the rest of fandom. I like me some good ol' KiHae instead. :3

So, I was thoroughly surprised when I realized that this pairing is adorable. Not in the "OMFG, liek, they so totally BELONG TOGETHER!!!111!1!1" way, like, oh, say, KangTeuk is, but in the way that they seem like brothers that really trust one another with, in this case, their lives.

Y'see. HyukJae was trying to hold his breath underwater (in the following link) for the longest time that he could, and his team was trying to accomplish this by giving him 'artificial air' (while the other team was putting on a fail spectacle and trying to keep DongHae, HeeChul, and KiBum inside some bubble-thing at different times). SungMin had been giving this 'artificial air' to HyukJae for some time, so KangIn took over. After a few tries with KangIn, HyukJae reached out for SungMin again instead.

IT WAS SO CUTE, I'M SORRY.

LOOK.
